A good email signature is straightforward, with a hint of spirit, and complies with brand standards. But most importantly, it’s important to use one in the first place. Saving someone a trip to the UF directory to find your phone number by using an email signature is universally appreciated.

You never know when a small email you send may allow for something big to connect with the University of Florida.

So be sure to use some combination of:

  • Name
  • Title, Department
  • College
  • Phone contact
  • Cell phone (optional)
  • email link
  • Office address (optional)
  • Primary or Secondary UF logo
  • Addition of a promotional/campaign/initiative graphic (optional)

If using brand colors in your signature, be sure to choose web-compliant colors that satisfy WCAG 2 contrast standards. Those can be found here.
